Stoned Ape is an upbeat homage to 90’s video games, specifically Ape Escape and the quirky drum n bass stylings of Soichi Terada. The low poly video references the graphics of the original Playstation, and explores Terrence McKenna’s theory that humanity evolved in symbiosis with psychedelic mushrooms. As our species develops a renewed appreciation for these mushrooms, where will we evolve next?

Stoned Ape is the first single off of Virtual Perfection Cowboy’s 4th LP, the dance concept album Energy Mirror: A Dance Odyssey.
