︎ Dreamlike
︎ Melancholy
︎ Expansive
Breakdown has shown in several film festivals including the 2023 Beverly Hills Film Festival and VietFilm Festival 2022.
A VPC collaboration with director Hon Hoang, to establish both the emotional content of the score as well as the sound design, combining the two in a single unifying work of audio. The score is composed of ambient string textures, evocative of memory, and cyclical, creating a meditative trance and symbolizing the main character’s rumination and longing, with a plaintive violin melody played by Miko Shudo.

A VPC collaboration with director Daniella Vale on the music for XConfessions’ Objectify Me. This erotic film tells the story of a woman who, though initially put off by an artist’s penchant for painting nude women, eventually gives in to the fantasy of being an object of his desire.
VPC’s electric guitar-driven soundtrack combines elements of surf music, psychedelic rock, and Steve Reich-style minimalism to complement the range of erotic energy in this film that builds from quiet intensity to full-blown passion.
XConfessions is a production by Erika Lust, a feminist porn director seeking to foster artistry, intimacy, and ethics in the porn industry. From the XConfessions misison statement:
“ We don't just show what sex looks like, we tell stories about what sex and desire feel like, and how we communicate and interact intimately with each other. Each film is visually arresting and goes beyond traditional gender roles and tired stereotypes, pushing the boundaries of fetish, lust, desire and intimacy.”
It’s a fact that most young people learn about sex from porn, so we should infuse pornography with healthier and more nuanced images of intimacy.

︎ Emotional
︎ Understated
︎ Ethereal
Daniell Vale’s poignant exploration of a sex worker struggling to make ends meet in New York City. A quiet film, far more about isolation than sex, explores the casual exploitation we all experience in our daily lives just to get by... though there is always hope to be found in staying true to ourselves.
VPC produced a score that is equally soft, poignant, and inspirational. Pure, airy tones represent the nameless protagonist’s loneliness, fragility, yet ultimate innocence she finds in her honesty and acceptance of who she is.
